Milestones since 1997

1998

With his expertise in aircraft manufacturing and as a graduate aerospace engineer, Ingo Steiniger founded IST Pumpen und Dosiertechnik in 1997. Just a year later, in 1998, the company became a GmbH (limited liability company). Through strategic negotiations and a strong sales approach, IST quickly established itself in the market and has since been supplying businesses of all sizes – from medium-sized enterprises to major corporations.

2000

As demand grew, the IST team expanded while the strong order situation confirmed the market's need for its products. The product range was continuously extended, allowing for even more tailored solutions to meet individual customer requirements.

2003

Acquisition of Idel Maschinenbau GmbH to strategically expand the portfolio with in-house machining capabilities, including turning, milling, and steel construction, enabling even more flexible and customized solutions.

2008

This investment proved to be visionary: Between 2008 and 2010, IST implemented major projects, manufacturing large-scale systems for the oil industry in Saudi Arabia.

2016

The relocation to a new company building consolidated three sites under one roof, creating optimal conditions for further growth. This move significantly increased production capacities and expanded storage facilities to meet rising demand more efficiently.

2018

IST celebrates its 25th anniversary! The success of BIBER pumps and IST’s drum and container emptying systems played a key role in the company’s long-term success, solidifying long-standing customer relationships in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, automotive, and chemicals.

2020

Despite the global COVID19-pandemic, IST remained stable and fully operational. Thanks to a strong team, flexible structures, and joint efforts, the company successfully navigated the crisis and maintained its market position.

2025

IST focuses on innovation, digitalization, and automation to optimize processes and expand its product portfolio. Through international partnerships and targeted investment in skilled professionals, the company strengthens its market position and ensures sustainable long-term growth.
